PLAYER BENEFITS
Age:
U20 (14-20 years old)
An elite non-contact hockey league with a strong emphasis on advanced skill, speed and game play experience against the best adult players in Hong Kong.
High Instructor to Player Ratio (1:7)
League Description
- Development league for top U20 players
- Coached by elite CIHL players
- Real time playing mentorship provided by 2-3 CIHL players
- Same coaches throughout the season for consistency

Program Coordinators
Our Program Coordinators are experienced CIHL, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Junior Hockey players interning in Hong Kong, all who have extensive coaching experience.
League Prerequisites
- Minimum of 6 years of hockey experience at a competitive level
- Must join U15/U20 CIHL Top Shelf Program
- A tryout will be required
To protect the competitive nature of this program, all registrations are subject to review. Please read the program prerequisites and contact Junior Tigers staff if any questions.
Parent Coordinator
A parent coordinator will be designated for each program and be at the rink during games. Parent coordinators will assist Junior Tigers management with off-ice operations.
League Aim
- Prepare players to play in North America and Europe
- Mentorship from top CIHL players to simulate North American ecosystem
- Develop advanced game tactics (forechecking, defensive zones, special teams)
- Emphasis on special teams and teamwork
- Have fun, further develop a passion for hockey
League Includes
- One league tryout session
- Twenty regular season and playoff games
Format
- Maximum number of participants per team — 12 players, 1 goalie
- These are skill based teams and Junior Tigers management reserve the right to move players between teams to ensure fairness
- Players not suitable for League will be refunded registration fee or offered alternative playing options
Structure
- 5 on 5 playing format
- 3 minute warm up
- 3 X 20 minute running time
- 3 on 3 overtime – 3 mins (if needed)
- 3 player shootout

Programs will not run during Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter periods. However, programs will run on National Holiday Day - Oct 23 2023.
All forty five (45) minute sessions exclude ice cleaning time. One hour or longer sessions may include ice cleaning time depending on the ice conditions.
Each player will receive a complimentary Junior Tigers Water Bottle and participation certificate

- There are no restrictions on participant’s passport or country of origin and all are welcome to enjoy the various programs.

Junior Tigers management reserves the right to change program curriculum if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Participants who have signed up and paid for a program curriculum that is changed due to above-mentioned reason, will be given the option of switching programs or receiving a full refund if the program is no longer available.
