PLAYER BENEFITS

Age:
U9 (7-9 years old)
A tournament for Junior Tigers players to develop both team and individual skills through game play in a fun environment.

High Instructor to Player Ratio (1:7)

Event Description
- 3 on 3 mini tournament (4-6 teams)
- Hotpot format- Players will be placed on a team by the coaching staff
- Games will be 15 minute mini games (1/2 ice)
- Players must bring a black and a white jersey

Program Coordinators
Our Program Coordinators are experienced CIHL, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Junior Hockey players interning in Hong Kong, all who have extensive coaching experience.

Event Prerequisites
- Minimum 1 year of hockey experience
- Minimum 2 years of skating experience
- Passion for hockey
- Above average skill set

Parent Coordinator
A parent coordinator will be designated for each program and be at the rink during games. Parent coordinators will assist Junior Tigers management with off-ice operations.

Event Aim
- Fast paced games
- Fast paced competition
- More puck touches
- More scoring opportunities

Event Includes
- 3 hours of competition
- 6-8 Half ice (1/2) mini games
- High level coaching instruction during games

Format
- Maximum number of players per team is 8
- Players will be placed on teams by the Coaches to be sure of equal teams.
- Registration is first come, first served only
- Limited enrollment

Structure
- 15 minute running time games
- 5-8 players per team
- One ice flood 1/2 way through the event
- Non-contact
- 3 on 3 play
- Penalties will be a Penalty Shot

- Junior Tigers programs are designed to work in conjunction with other leagues and programs. Our goal is to provide options for players of every age and skill level and we take the approach that more hockey means more fun!
- There are no restrictions on participant’s passport or country of origin and all are welcome to enjoy the various programs.

Skills
Junior Tiger leagues focus on teamwork and team play, while continuing to develop players’ individual skills.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Junior Tigers management reserves the right to change program curriculum if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Participants who have signed up and paid for a program curriculum that is changed due to above-mentioned reason, will be given the option of switching programs or receiving a full refund if the program is no longer available.

Fee: HKD 1,988
- 5% sibling OR returning player discount per player per program
- Maximum discount of 5% per player per program
- Registration officially opens November 23, 2023

By registering for a Junior Tigers program, you agree to accept Junior Tigers terms and conditions.
- Payments can only be made online at www.juniortigershockey.com/registration
- We are unable to offer a refund or credit due to non-participation.
- Registration is first come, first served, with priority given to current Junior Tigers participants.
- Programs will not run during Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter periods.
- Registration officially opens April 17, 2023.

All of our hockey programs require full equipment to be provided by the parent/guardian.
