PLAYER BENEFITS

Age:
Goalies born between 2005 and 2018 are welcome to join the program.
Players will be grouped by age and ability to ensure a safe, focused, and challenging training environment for all.

Program Description
Designed for goaltenders of all levels, the off-ice goalie training program builds the essential athletic foundation needed for peak performance. Blending yoga, gymnastics, and goalie-specific movement, each session targets flexibility, balance, and body control. Speed and agility drills enhance crease movement, while hand-eye coordination and reflex training sharpen reaction time and puck tracking. The goal is to develop habits off the ice that lead to stronger, more confident play in the crease.

Program Coordinators
Our program coordinators are accomplished professionals with firsthand experience in elite European hockey leagues. As former pro players, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to coaching. With their extensive playing backgrounds and coaching acumen, they are dedicated to providing top-notch guidance and support to our participants in Hong Kong.

Program Prerequisites
No prior goalie experience is required. This program is open to all players interested in developing the athletic skills essential to the goaltending position. All levels are welcome. Please contact Junior Tigers staff with any questions.

Parent Coordinator
A parent coordinator or player will be designated for this program and will be available to assist throughout the season.

Program Aim
- Build a strong athletic foundation through mobility, flexibility, and balance training
- Improve reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and reaction time
- Develop body control, core strength, and agility through yoga and gymnastics-based movement
- Create a fun, focused environment that builds confidence and passion for the goalie position

Hours of Instruction
Twenty-four, 60 minute of off-ice training time per player.

Each player will receive a complimentary Junior Tigers Water Bottle

- Junior Tigers programs are designed to work in conjunction with other leagues and programs. Our goal is to provide options for players of every age and skill level and we take the approach that more hockey means more fun!
- There are no restrictions on a participant’s passport or country of origin and all are welcome to enjoy the various programs.

Skills
Off-ice goalie training is a position-specific program designed to develop the physical and mental tools needed for success in the crease. Sessions take place at the beach and nearby training areas, using simple equipment like yoga mats and tennis balls to build key skills, including:

SPECIAL NOTE:
The Junior Tigers management reserves the right to change program curriculum if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Participants who have signed up and paid for a program curriculum that is changed due to the above-mentioned reason, will be given the option of switching programs or receiving a full refund if the program is no longer available.

Fee: HKD 7,200
- Program limited to 10 players
- 5% sibling OR returning player discount per player per program
- Maximum discount of 5% per player per program
- Registration officially opens June 27, 2025

- We are unable to offer a refund or credit due to non-participation.
- Registration is first come, first served, with priority given to current Junior Tigers participants.
- Programs will not run during Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter periods.
- Registration officially opens June 27, 2025.

Gear Required
Each player must arrive in proper off-ice training clothes and athletic shoes. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring players are equipped for every session.
Players must bring:
- Athletic training clothes
- Running shoes
- Yoga mat
- 3 tennis balls
- Towel
