Tournament Description
Greater Bay Classic 3vs3 is a Hong Kong ice hockey tournament for youth players to gain experience and exposure against players from the region and around the world. The tournament provides a platform for high-level competition, allowing players to improve their skills against strong opponents.
The concept of 3vs3 cross ice, increases the activity of players with and without the puck.
Small area games = more action
Team will be drafted to ensure balance and competitive games.
Age:
DIVISIONS
- U9: 2017–2018 (2019 by invitation only)
- U11/U13: 2013–2016
- U13/U16: 2011–2014
Please note: Coaches will make the final decision on division placement to ensure the best experience for all players, support fair competition, and prioritize safety.
Coaches may assign players to play up or down a division when appropriate.
Draft Format
- All players will need to sign up individually with parent consent
- Players can list one teammate to be drafted together (both players should list the other person they want to play with to be considered)
- Players and goalies can sign up for ONE division only
- Deadline to register – Jan 20, 2026
- Registration is first come, first served ONLY.
Event Includes
- 5 games per team
- 3 games round robin games per division
- 1 game semi final games per division
- 1 game (Consolation/Championship) per division
Tournament Prerequisites
- Teams are only allowed a maximum of 5 under-aged players
- A minimum of 4 teams are required for each division.
- Expected level of play –AA
- Maximum 9 players & 1 goalie
Eligibility - Birth Years are strictly monitored
Structure
- Awards presentation will take place after each Championships Final.
- Team standings are based on:
- Most points, most wins, head-to-head, least goals against, higher goals for, least penalty minutes, greater goal difference, and puck toss.
- Final Rules and regulations and confirmation of the game format will be released prior to the start of the tournament.
- Statistics and results – will be posted at each game.

Game Format
- 3 on 3 plus 1 goalie
- All players and goalies will be drafted on a team
- Running Time – 1 period of 30 minutes
- In the playoffs, if the game is tied, the teams will play a 3 min overtime period – 3 on 3. Except in the championship game where a second overtime period will be played. If still tied, a 3 player shootout will determine the winner.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Junior Tigers management reserves the right to change tournament format (i.e., add or subtract a division) if the minimum number of participants is not reached. Participants who have signed up and paid for a tournament or event that is changed due to above-mentioned reason, will be receiving a full refund if the division is no longer available.

By registering for a Junior Tigers program, you agree to accept Junior Tigers terms and conditions.
- Payments can only be made online at www.juniortigershockey.com/registration
- We are unable to offer a refund or credit due to non-participation.
- Registration is first come, first served, with priority given to current Junior Tigers participants.
- Programs will not run during Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Easter periods.
- Registration officially opens December 1, 2025.
